Growing up the midwest did not offer Kyle what he was looking for in life. From a young age he carried a deep passion for the water. That passion eventually brought him to the coast of South Carolina in 2011 where he began his career as a captain. It was two years into his career as USCG Licensed Captain that he was introduced to sailing and he has not looked back since. The skill, planning and focus that sailing demands really drew Kyle in. Since then he has acquired thousands of offshore miles delivering sailboats all over the USA East Coast, Gulf Coast and Bahamas. He began sharing his passion for sailing in 2018 when he became an American Sailing Association Instructor at Charleston Sailing School. It was here that Kyle was truly able to sharpen his skills as a skipper by gaining him knowledge and experience on a wide array of monohulls and catamarans ranging from 30-55ft. For those of us who have been called to the water and what is has to offer, the key to enjoying its’ true beauty is having confidence in your ablitlities. That is what Kyle strives to help each and every client gain through his extensive training while covering topics from docking, route planning to sail trim and safety onboard.
